About Us

Lyttelton SAPS forms part of a larger cluster of 7 areas comprising 20 sectors. Within this cluster, LS3 CPSF is the only fully operational JOC (Joint Operations Centre) that operates 24/7/365.

And importantly, our JOC is not staffed solely by volunteers. It is supported by full-time, trained employees who ensure that the JOC remains operational and available to our community around the clock.

LS3 CPSF was established in 2006, and over the years we have grown from strength to strength. This would not have been possible without the dedication and commitment of our Chairpersons, EXCO members, volunteers, staff and community members who have contributed to building and sustaining the organisation.

Today, the JOC is an essential part of our community infrastructure.

Imagine LS3 Without the JOC…

What would you do when you urgently need assistance?

  • Residents within LS3 rely on the JOC every day to report and coordinate assistance for a wide range of issues, including:
  • * Crime-related activities and incidents
  • * Faulty streetlights
  • * Electricity-related problems
  • * Water leaks and infrastructure issues
  • * Other community concerns requiring urgent attention

The JOC provides a central point of communication, coordination and response, helping connect residents with the appropriate services and response partners when it matters most.

Keeping the JOC Operational Takes a Community

  • This service does not happen automatically. Keeping a 24/7/365 operational JOC running requires trained staff, communication systems, equipment and ongoing operational costs.

The question is not whether you use the JOC every day. The question is whether you want it to be there when you need it most.

Our JOC exists because our community has built it, supported it and continues to believe in its value.

Help us keep it operational. Support LS3 CPSF.
