At its core, LS3 CPSF functions as a Joint Operations Centre (JOC), where multiple agencies, services, and community partners come together to respond to real-world challenges in a coordinated way.
From safety and security to medical emergencies, infrastructure concerns, animal welfare and service delivery issues. The JOC connects the right people to the right situations, quickly and effectively. This collaborative approach ensures faster communication, stronger support networks and better outcomes for the greater Pierre van Ryneveld and Monument Park West community.
It’s not just about reacting to crime, it’s about proactive problem-solving, coordinated response and community care.
About Us
The LS3 CPSF is more than a safety initiative, it’s a community standing together.
As a non-profit, community-driven organisation, we are committed to keeping Lyttelton Sector 3 Police Sub Forum informed, connected, and protected. We believe that safer neighbourhoods are built when residents, volunteers and business partners work side by side with a shared purpose.
Established in 2006 by passionate community members, the CPF was founded on a simple idea: when people take ownership of their neighbourhood, real change happens. Today, that spirit continues through dedicated volunteers who patrol our streets, especially at night, helping to deter crime and strengthen visibility where it matters most.
Services
At its core, LS3 CPSF operates as a Joint Operations Centre (JOC), a central point where multiple agencies, service providers and community partners come together to respond to real-world challenges in a coordinated and effective way.
From safety and security to medical emergencies, infrastructure concerns, animal welfare, and service delivery issues, the JOC ensures that the right people are connected to the right situations, quickly and efficiently. Working in close collaboration with local security companies, SAPS and Metro, the JOC serves as a hub for information, coordination, and response.
This integrated approach enables faster decision-making, improved communication and a stronger, unified effort toward keeping the community safe and informed.
